To our east is Glacier National Park, the Crown Jewel of the Continent and the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The Valley is served by several major US highways, and Glacier Park International Airport, a world class, regional airport offering service by United, Delta, Skywest, Northwest and Horizon. Amtrak’s famed Empire Builder train makes daily stops at the recreational town of Whitefish, and at West Glacier, gateway into the Glacier National Park. We are a world apart, but oh-so-easy to get to.
Our communities are as diverse and special as the Valley itself. Kalispell is the governmental and commercial hub for all of Northwest Montana, and is home to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center, one of the largest, regional medical centers in the entire Pacific Northwest. Situated at the very northern tip of Flathead Lake is Bigfork, the artistic heart of the Valley and home to a number of highly regarded sculptors and painters.
